          Handle Installation Guide

Each handle comes with 2 M4 1 inch & 1.57 inch machine screws and is simple to install

If your furniture or door already has a knob or handle on it, you may be able to unscrew the current one and replace it using the existing screw. If not, you will need to drill a small hole (or holes) in your door or furniture and tighten with a Philips screwdriver.

          Package

A better fit starts with one measurement

          How to Measure Cabinet Pulls

Replacing a cabinet pull? Measure the distance between the screw holes before choosing a size. This is the center-to-center (C-C) measurement.

          1. Find the screw holes. Open the drawer or cabinet door and locate the mounting holes. Remove the existing pull if the centers are hard to see.
          2. Measure center to center. Measure from the center of one screw hole straight across to the center of the other. Record the distance in inches or millimeters.
          3. Choose the matching C-C size. Compare your measurement with the “Hole Centers” or “Size” options on the product page. For an existing two-hole installation, match the C-C measurement.

          Measuring Cabinet Knobs

Most cabinet knobs use one mounting screw hole, so there is no center-to-center distance to measure. For a replacement knob, measure the existing hole location and check the knob’s base diameter and projection (how far it extends from the cabinet). If switching from a pull to a knob, the old two-hole marks may remain visible unless they are filled or covered.

Quick tip: A pull’s listed size usually means its hole spacing, not its full end-to-end length. Check the product’s dimension drawing if you also need the overall length.

Plan the position before you drill

          Where to Place Cabinet Pulls

These common placement guidelines help create a balanced look. Keep the position consistent across doors and drawers.

          Drawers

Place one pull at the horizontal center of a small drawer. On a wide drawer, use one longer pull or two pulls, positioned evenly.

          Upper Cabinet Doors

Place the pull near the lower corner on the opening side of the door. Keep the same distance from the edges on matching doors.

          Lower Cabinet Doors

Place the pull near the upper corner on the opening side of the door. Repeat the same position across the cabinet run.

Before drilling: Mark the position with painter’s tape or a hardware template. Check that every pull is level and consistently spaced before making holes.

Cabinet Pull Size & Installation FAQs

          What does center-to-center (C-C) mean?

C-C is the distance between the centers of the mounting screw holes on a pull. It is also called hole spacing. Match this measurement when replacing a pull and reusing the existing two holes.

How do I measure cabinet pulls for a replacement?

Measure from the center of one mounting hole to the center of the other. If the old pull is still installed, measure the holes or the distance between its screw posts from the back of the drawer or door. Do not measure from the outside ends of the handle.

Is the listed pull size the same as its overall length?

Usually, no. The listed size for a multi-hole pull refers to its C-C hole spacing. The overall length is the full end-to-end measurement and is typically longer. Use the product dimension drawing for the exact overall length.

Will a new pull fit my existing holes?

It should align with the existing holes when the new pull has the same C-C measurement. Check the product’s dimensions as well: the handle’s base or end posts may not cover marks left by different hardware, even when the screw holes align.

What if I want to replace a knob with a pull?

A typical knob uses one mounting hole, while a pull uses two. You will usually need to drill a second hole, and the original hole may need filling if the new hardware does not cover it. Check the pull’s C-C size and overall dimensions before drilling.

What pull size should I choose for a new cabinet or drawer?

With new, undrilled cabinetry, choose a size that feels comfortable and looks balanced with the door or drawer. Longer pulls can suit wider drawer fronts; smaller pulls or knobs can suit narrow fronts. There is no single required size—compare the product’s C-C and overall dimensions, and use a template to check placement before drilling.

          Are mounting screws included?

Screw inclusions and lengths can vary by product. Check the “Package,” “Accessories,” or “Specifications” section on the product page. The screw must suit the thickness of your cabinet front and the hardware; a longer screw may be needed for a thick drawer front.

Where should I place pulls on cabinet doors and drawers?

Pulls are commonly centered on drawer fronts. On cabinet doors, they are usually placed near the opening edge—near the lower corner of an upper door or the upper corner of a lower door. Keep placement consistent, and mark and check the position with a template before drilling.

Which size should I order if my measurement falls between two options?

For replacement hardware, do not round to a nearby size: the screw holes need to align. Measure again from hole center to hole center and check the product’s available C-C options. If you are unsure, contact Goldenwarm with your measurement and product link before ordering.
